My wife is truly amazing. On Monday night around 7pm we realized that Owen was coming. Kate was having contractions that were 4 minutes apart and lasting about a minute. Kate labored at home until around 1am and we arrived at the hospital around 1:30. At around 5:30am Kate's contractions became quite painful and it was time for the epidural. It was also time to wake me as I lay asleep, drooling all over the floor of our room. After making phone calls to loved ones everything else from that point on seems like a blur. Kate went from 5cm to 10cm in what seemed like less than 10 minutes. Then, after only 20 minutes of pushing, Owen arrived.
What happened next may not be the most truly amazing part of the delivery, but it is indicative of how incredible my wife is.... About 30 seconds after being presented with our new little boy, and with Owen in her left arm, Kate took the camera with her right hand to snap this picture of me standing in awe of what my wife had just done for our family.
